Chevrolet Dealership Recommends Car Magazines

Your local Chevrolet dealership knows that choosing the right vehicle can be a challenge. You look around dealerships, take test drives, and ask others how they feel about their particular Chevrolet vehicle.

In addition to these resources, though, you sometimes need a little extra advice and input when it comes to selecting your new Chevrolet, before you go to see your Chevrolet Dealer. For this reason, it might be worth checking out some car magazines for news and reviews of the car you’re considering.

Here are some magazines that should have information about Chevrolet vehicles:

Car and Driver

This is probably the most popular car magazine in the world. Car and driver features test drive results, buying guides, reviews, and even automotive news.

Motor Trend

Motor trend focuses on the automotive industry itself. It includes things like information about concept cars, coverage of auto shows, industry news, as well as car reviews.

AutoWeek

AutoWeek is a somewhat ecclectic read, including reviews, information about auto shows, racing, and even information about environmental issues. You’re especially likely to find information about fuel economy in AutoWeek.

No matter what Chevrolet you’re thinking about, you should be able to find some good quality information about it in one of these magazines.

Corvette ZR1 Returns to Chevrolet Dealers

The Corvette ZR1 is about to be back at your Chevrolet dealer, and it is better than ever.

The ZR1, during its inital production during the 1990s, was hailed as one of the most powerful, stylish, and sleek Corvettes ever. The ZR1 remains the favorite Corvette of many enthusiasts, as well.

For the 2009 model year, the ZR1 Corvette is making a return.

One of the most interesting things about the Corvette ZR1 is that it wasn’t developed by a squad of thousands of engineers. This car was designed by a small team. The team were enthusiastic fans of the Corvette, who worked on the design for several years. After all of that time and hard work, the team’s efforts have finally paid off with the release of the 2009 Corvette ZR1.

Not only is the ZR1 coming back, it’s coming back with a vengeance. The new Corvette ZR1 sets a much higher benchmark when it comes to Corvette performance. It features a 6.2 liter V8 engine with an Eaton TVS Supercharger, as well as intercooler. The 638 horsepower LS9 supercharged engine produces 604 lb.-ft of torque. On the test track, the new ZR1 reached speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.

The ZR1 isn’t just about power and performance, however. The 2009 Corvette ZR1 has plenty of style, too. It has a front air splitter, carbon fiber roof, domed hood, and dual cove front fenders. It even has a window to the supercharger in the hood. It also features 19 inch front wheels, and 20 inch rear wheels.

Inside the Corvette ZR1, you’ll find the latest in technology and style, too. There is a boost gauge in cluster, and there’s also a Heads-Up Display included. The 4LZ package includes a custom leather-wrapped interior.

2008 Cobalt Sounds Wonderful

If you’re considering buying a 2008 Cobolt from your Chevrolet dealer, you’re ahead of the curve. The Cobalt is one of three models that currently offers the next generation of General Motors sound systems.

These sound systems, which are optional, include a USB port into which you can plug your personal music player or MP3 player. This is a significant advancement, as most GM radios don’t offer any sort of input. If they do, it’s typically a regular audio jack. The USB port is ready for just about any type of MP-3 player.

This radio is truly revolutionary and unique. It allows you to recharge your MP3 player, and even to use the radio to control the MP3 player. You can even browse through your MP3 library from your car’s stereo.

This new radio comes at an important time for Chevrolet when it comes to stereo equipment. The Ford Sync system allows a similar type of interface with most MP3 players. The Sync system, developed alongside Microsoft, has been a significant draw for many buyers. Chevrolet’s new radio will help Chevy to compete with the SYNC system, and shows GM’;s commitment to innovation, and to staying on top of the latest in amenities and technology.

Nissan Dealers NJ Happy about Fewer Alcohol-Related Deaths

Your local Nissan dealers NJ want to bring your attention to a recent article released by the Associated Press. It talks about how the number of alcohol-related deaths on the roadways has fallen in more than half the states across that nation. To be specific, those deaths have decreased in 32 states! That’s not only remarkable, but it’s also great news if you ask us at your Nissan dealers NJ.

Unfortunately, even though the numbers have gone down in 32 individual states, more than 13,000 people still died as the result of an alcohol-related incident on the roads last year. This number only includes drivers that had a blood-alcohol level of at least 0.08.

The largest decrease in these types of deaths was in California. There were 117 fewer deaths in 2007 than there were in 2006. The Golden State is followed by Texas with 108 fewer deaths and Arizona coming in with 63 fewer deaths. Pennsylvania and Delaware were two more states that had safer roadways in 2007. Overall, alcohol-related deaths decreased by about four percent in the United States.

Time For A Tune Up

A tune up is one of the most important parts of maintaining your car. About once a year, you should bring your car into your local Chevrolet dealer for your yearly tune up.

What exactly is a tune up? There are several parts to a tune up. Each of these steps is designed to replace parts of your car that get old and tend to wear out, or to verify that certain parts of your vehicle are in good working condition. A tune up provides several benefits to your car, from better gas mileage, to prolonging the life of your engine.

First of all, a tune up involves checking and topping off all of your fluids. There are several parts that will be replaced, too, including the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, valve-cover gaskets, and spark plug wires. if your vehicle is fuel injected, a tune up may also involve cleaning the throttle plate on the fuel injector.

In addition to replacing certain parts and filling fluidsd, a tune up will also include an inspection. Your Chevrolet mechanic will check your air conditioning and heating, look at the condition of your tires, and look at your brakes and brake fluid. She will inspect other components, too, including the timing of your vehicle, the PCV valve, the distributor cap and rotor, the oxygen sensor, and the carburetor.

Nissan Automobile Dealers Discuss Labor Day DUI Arrests

Your local Nissan automobile dealers want to send a shout out to the state’s highway patrol and police officers for their work earlier this month. Every year during the Labor Day holiday, they crack down on drunk drivers to help keep travelers safe during this busy weekend.

This year, the Delaware State Police reported 66 DUI arrests during the Labor Day holiday weekend. Nearly 40 of those arrests were the work of the state police department that put “over 100 DUI saturation patrols” on the highways. In addition to the arrests, the state officers also issued 29 tickets for not wearing a seat belt and more than 600 other violations for other traffic violations, including some for drug possession.

The other DUI arrests were made at various sobriety checkpoints along the highway. At these spots, officers also gave one person a ticket for underage drinking, arrested 13 people who had warrants and made eight drug arrests. They also issued more than 50 citations for common traffic violations. Officials also kept four checkpoints up through this past weekend since they were so successful. Just keep this in mind if you are leaving your local Nissan dealer or Nissan automobile dealers. If you’re safe and courteous, though, you should be just fine.

When Should You Buy A New Car?

When you’re in the market for a new car, you don’t always think about the timing of the purchase. The fact is, there are periods that are better to buy a car than other times.

One of the best times to buy a new car, for example, is the end of the calendar year.  Often, the winter months are slow for auto dealers. For this reason, dealerships will hold “end of the year” clearance sales, in order to boost their final sales numbers for the year. In addition, it helps them to get their old inventory off their lots, and you can save quite a bit of money when this happens.

Month-end is another great time to think about buying a new car. At the end of the month, salespeople and sales managers are trying to hit their final sales quotas, and they may be more willing to cut you a deal.

Believe it or not, Mondays are another good time to buy a new car. Dealerships tend to be slowest earlier in the week, and do most of their business. On a Monday, you’re more likely to get individualized attention from the salesperson, and you may be able to cut a better deal, as well.

Come visit your local Chevrolet dealer today and see what kind of a deal we’re willing to make with you.
