There aren’t too many weeks that go by without a story relating how Mercedes-Benz is doing something to help out the less fortunate. This week, there’s a story about how the automaker is helping out the Habitat for Humanity organization.
In Bergen County, New Jersey, 700 people who want to win a Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport Sedan or those who simply want to help a charity can chip in. If you’re interested, all you need to do is send a check for $100 to the following address and keep your fingers crossed:

Include a note that you’d like to participate in the raffle for the Mercedes and you’ll receive a ticket stub. You can purchase as many tickets as you’d like, but there are only 700 available. Officials will sell them on a “first come, first served” basis.
But if you’re worried about paying the taxes on a luxury vehicle, the winner can also choose to take the cash equivalent ($30,000) instead of the Mercedes-Benz. However, if the contest sells fewer than 350 tickets, the cash prize is cut in half. Officials will announce the lucky winner on May 8 at the Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County Builder of the Year Award Dinner. The event will take place at the Marriott Glenpointe in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Don’t worry, though. You don’t need to be present to accept the prize.
