The average person blinks about ten times every minute when they are not overly tired or bored. If you blink more than that, it could be an indication of inadequate sleep. This means you can self-analyze your ability to keep driving by monitoring your blinking.
According to David Williams, a chief executive at GEM Motoring Assist, blinking is a “built-in early warning system that gives us the opportunity to head for the nearest motorway service area or other refuge from the road before our driving becomes erratic and potentially dangerous.”
