You may have already heard about Nissan’s new CARWINGS telematic system that will be available in cars at your Nissan dealers NJ in Lumberton soon (if it isn’t already). But the Japanese automaker is working on making the system even more inclusive for drivers with some new features.
The new “slip-alert” is one of the new features you can expect on the CARWINGS telematic system. This new technology uses a camera that’s focused on the road ahead to broadcast real-time images to the driver. This is going to be especially useful on mountain roads that get covered with snow and ice because the technology uses the navigation screen to display those curves and trouble areas where other drivers have lost control.
Currently, engineers and testers are working on the system in Hokkaido, a place where slippery road conditions often cover the mountainous areas. There are already cameras there that film the region to alert motorists as to the slippery areas and what to avoid.
There aren’t any plans to release these features in the United States soon. Engineers and officials simply plan to release it in Japan as of right now. However, you can visit your local Nissan dealer and find many other features that are designed to keep you safe behind the wheel in a variety of road conditions.
